Communications

# Chapter 153

Communication is all turned upside down and not in the way that you expect that statement to unpack. Last night I was sitting here at my dad’s table in rural Georgia, writing letters to our two Compassion International children. One is in Honduras and one is in the Philippines and they both are far far away from any electronics or computers etc. But we communicate over the course of the year, they send me letters and the Compassion Staff upload them eventually and email them to me. The point here is that me and these children are sending communication back and forth in spite of the distance and isolation we may be living in.

At the same sitting of the table, I get a letter from the lawyers in London, that they have yet to receive my official documents that were signed and had been witnessed and sent to them over a month ago!! Someone somewhere for some reason decided that I had to send the lawyers physical papers via the post office, and that this proved or informed something better, more certainly, more something, than me sending electronic letters with pictures! to small children in remote locations. That is just so wrong on every count that it is infuriating. And I have another letter waiting for me to read with more demands - but I decided to write you instead - and rant a little bit.
