The mountain is not what you think

# Chapter 96

You are climbing up toward your goals and objectives and it seems like an impossible climb. You are reaching for the near impossible and it appears that you might not get there. You are striving to change the world and the world doesn’t bend or change easily - too many integrated systems at play. It feels like you are not gaining any traction and you are discouraged. We all have had one or all of these situations in our lives and we know what these mountain ranges in life look and feel like. If you don’t then you aren’t really living you are just existing. And the main point here is not what you might think.

The mountain is not the mountain. That is just a static objective or direction or goal or something that has not yet been invented or made - these things are not the mountain that you are climbing. You are the mountain that you are climbing. In almost every instance, you are the limiting factor. Yes you are also the driver, the engine that pushes toward the peak, that which keeps things moving forward toward the conclusion you hope for. And that makes you the limiting factor, not every single time, but most of the time, enough of the time that you don’t need to think or worry about the times that this may not be true. The battle, the struggle, the striving is with conquering yourself. How to find, develop, uncork all your capacity and hidden reserves? Now you are getting warm, this is where the real challenge exists.
